Typography: learn the basics of typography like font pairing, and readability to make sure your content can be read across all devices 🔤.
Understand visual hierarchy: become skilled at arranging elements to guide your viewer’s eyes and highlight important content on your site or social media posts 👀.

Free design tools: I’m a lover of all things Canva and their free membership gets the job done. There’s also Adobe Spark, both give you the ability to create stunning graphics, logos, and social media posts.
Stock Photo Libraries: Quality photos will make or break your content. Websites like Unsplash and Pexel offer free stock photos and images. Then there’s websites like CreateHER Stock and Nappy.co, which is your go to for images for women and POC (finally!)
Don’t talk about it, be about it:
Start designing your brand: take note of brands you like and create a board on Pinterest to start collecting inspo. Develop a cohesive brand identity with consistent visuals across all platforms (ie: logo, color scheme, etc.)
Engage your audience: use eye-catching designs that make your content pop, and increase engagement with your followers.
